If you are one of the many that are having difficulty keeping your head straight and an eye on the ball try some of these suggestions. The next time you approach the ball have the correct stance with your feet and knees in position but keep your head and your back straight, bend forward slightly at the waist and look straight at the ball. Understand that if you try and take a swing in this position your left shoulder will most likely hit your chin. While keeping your eyes on the ball, raise your head slowly until your left shoulder does not hit the chin. Make sure that your head isn’t moving side to side. Slowly go through the backswing and downswing portions of your golf swing. Practice this portion of your golf swing focusing on keeping your head straight and eyes on the ball.

Golf Slice is the most general type of golf slice shot this is when the ball first goes straight and there after due to over spin on the ball it starts to curve right side of the target. The Golf Push Slice shot starts curving to the right side from its tee position and then further curves right side.Golf Pull Slice shot first goes left side and then it curves back to the right side direction.

The root cause of the golf slice is the open club face at the impact. If you would like to read more on this subject I suggest this Link! Fix Your Golf Slice

When trying to hit the ball straight you should always set up correctly with your shoulders, hips, and feet and make sure you are aimed at the target. If you’re not sure if you’re square or not, hold a club up to your chest, make sure it’s squared up to to the line of your shoulders. Then look down at the shaft, sight along the shaft and see where it’s pointing. The very end of the shaft of the golf club should be aimed to your target.

To correct/cure a golf slice and hit a draw you need a free release and full free golf club through impact. This action which is second nature to the professionals who have eaten their meals on the practice tee for years. This involves letting the right hand and forearm release freely over the left through impact.

To get a good feeling for this hold the club up at the position of the waste, with no ball to distract you, and swing back and forth slowly watching the opening and closing of the clubhead through the hitting area as you do so.

Then speed up your swing and experiment with speeding up and releasing earlier so that when you tee up your ball your clubhead will be closing through impact..thereby promoting a draw.

Hitting the ball squarely and solid is the goal that many golfers hope to have. This means that you have to have the consistency to do that. This can take hours and hours of practice and repetition and then more hours. If you move the club just a little bit, the ball flight will change. Like anything, repetition is the key to doing well in golf. Sometimes you will find that even though you are hitting the ball at the correct point of impact, you will still slice the ball. Usually this will happen because you might have a weak grip on the club, meaning the way your hands are positioned on the club. Swing Speed or shaft flex can also contribute to slicing the ball.

2. Professional Golf Lessons. If you have a golf course near you with a pro that gives lessons this is a fantastic idea for the golfer who’s trying to perfect their swing. Check with area clubs and see if there is a golf pro that will give lessons.

3. Create a new golf wardrobe. You can get the golfer new golf clothes. Hit a good pro shop and look for comfortable items that will make him or her look snappy while working on their game. This is more important than you think.

4. A gift basket can include anything you’d like, golf related or not golf related. If you can’t find exactly what you want in a pro shop, buy a basket and make your own. Items that might be included in this golf gift include tees, sun block, a visor cap, shoes, towels, clothing items and the standard set of balls. Other items, too, can be thrown in for fun.

5. If all else fails and you can’t decide what your golfer might like, get him or her a gift card to their favorite pro shop.

golf swing slice

The quickest way to correct a golf slice is to manipulate the club face. First, take a wristwatch and put it on upside down, where the face of the watch is facing out on the underside of your wrist. When you swing make sure that you can see the face of the watch. Usually a slicer will turn his wrist in the wrong direction. If your watch is facing the ground, your swing is not correct. At all times during the swing, you should be able to see the wrist watch.

Next, make sure that your right wrist is on top of your left wrist at the point of impact. If you are slicing, you probably aren’t rolling your right wrist over. This can feel extremely unnatural, but it is crucial. At the point of impact, your right wrist should be on top of your left, not vice versa. If you are rolling the right wrist over the left, than you can be sure that you are closing the face of your club.

Neoprene Iron Covers

For irons a favourite is the neoprene material as it is waterproof, machine washable, shock resistant, tear resistant. This is mainly down to it being a non breathable material. Neoprene golf iron covers are very popular with brand manufacturers of golf irons as to they are very durable, they fit all irons and they can print their logos on one side if they choose.

Putter Covers

A new craze is that putter covers have become a fashion accessory, this seems to have been started by Titleist putters as it is now possible to buy literally hundreds of different kinds of covers from patriotic covers to ladies covers.

Wood Head Covers

Branded head covers for woods are very popular in this day and age. The standard wood covers you get when you purchase your clubs are very good quality, but novelty head covers are very popular because you can have anything that you would like on them.

The best covers that have been seen around at present are for golf irons they come in packs of 10 in many colors. There are Ping iron covers, Callaway iron covers, Taylormade iron covers, Nike iron covers, Titleist iron covers and many other branded ones. They are made by a company called golf covers who make them for big golfers.

Your grip can be the cause of your golf slice. There are a wide variety of test, techniques and instructions that you can follow, to correct a golf slice. But if your grip is wrong then it will not make a difference.

The first thing to do is to make sure that you are holding the club with the correct amount pressure. Some golfers have a grip that is extremely loose and some are tight. This makes it impossible for them to control the golf club throughout the swing.

Other golfers do the opposite and have such a tight grip that they cut the ball severely and send their ball off on any number of different possible trajectories. Having an even amount of pressure is the first step in correcting a slice.
